On Monday, December 2, 2012 Weight Watchers unveiled their newest  sidekick, Weight Watchers 360.

When asked:
" Can you tell us what the driving force was behind the Weight Watchers 360° program?"

Weight Watchers PR Rep responded with:
"We’ve made some big — but simple — changes based on new, breakthrough research. Among other things, this research has uncovered that food consumption can be physiologically driven by simply seeing, thinking about or smelling highly palatable foods — that is, foods that are most often high in sugar and/or fat. That’s called “hedonic hunger,” and it helps us look at weight loss in a whole new way."

The Weight Loss Party Planner

Parties can be tough to plan when you are trying to loose weight. Convenience can sometimes point you in the unhealthy direction, chips, sandwiches and dessert.  Most people now a days strive to eat healthier, even at parties. Healthy food makes you feel better, why not make your visitors feel good, too?

Here are some suggestions to get you over the unhealthy party hump:

Although not all of Whole Foods Recipes are low-fat some are and some if eaten in good portions are suitable and better than the unhealthy items available with artificial ingredients etc.

  • Chocolate-Dipped Pineapple with a Sprinkle of Sea Salt from Whole Foods Recipes Source
  • Some other suggestions would include veggies and low-fat dip, add some fresh herbs for some extra flavor and vitamins. Fresh Parsley or Cilantro work well with most flavors.
  • Grilled Marinated Chicken on Skewers, serve with a soy-sesame sauce
  • Salad is so easy and so good, garnish with edible flowers (Nasturtiums or Marigolds) to amaze your guests.

Enjoy your time with your friends while creating a healthy environment, it takes a change in your normal thinking but it is worth it. And you are sure to get compliments. Party on!
