Love, Fat, and Money: Fix Your Life One Brutal Truth at a Time

How to Make Better Choices in Love, Weight Loss, and Finances

Because success in life often comes down to the decisions we make daily

We all want to be healthier, happier, and more financially secure—but most of us struggle to keep all three in balance. Love, weight loss, and money may seem like separate areas of life, but at the core, they all thrive on the same foundation: better choices, made consistently.

Here’s how to start making better decisions in all three areas—without burnout, guilt, or perfectionism.

1. Love Isn’t a Damn Fairytale—Choose Growth, Not Perfection ❤️

Too often, we chase ideal partners or get stuck in cycles of settling. Whether you’re single or in a relationship, better choices in love start with self-awareness.

  • Date with intention, not just emotion: Ask: Do they align with my values? not just Do they give me butterflies?
  • Practice emotional honesty: Say what you mean. Ask for what you need. It’s not about being perfect—it’s about being real.
  • Choose progress over comfort: Relationships thrive on communication and mutual growth, not just chemistry.
Love isn’t something that just happens—it’s something we build through healthy choices, day by day.

2. Weight Loss: Choose Consistency Over Extremes πŸ₯—πŸ‹️

There’s no shortage of diets and workouts promising quick results. But the truth? Sustainable change is built on small, consistent decisions.

  • Don’t chase perfection: Choose the better option—not the perfect one. A 20-minute walk is better than no workout. A balanced plate is better than skipping meals.
  • Create routines, not restrictions: Instead of cutting everything out, build habits you can live with for the long term.
  • Be kind to yourself: Progress isn’t always linear. One slip doesn’t undo everything—it’s just one moment.
Every meal, every workout, and every choice is a vote for the kind of future you want.

3. Finances: Choose Clarity Over Convenience

Money is one of the biggest sources of stress—and also one of the most empowering areas to take control of. Better financial decisions aren’t about how much you make, but what you do with what you have.

  • Know your numbers: Track spending for 30 days. Awareness is the first step toward control.
  • Delay gratification: Ask: Do I want this more than I want financial freedom?
  • Invest in what matters: That includes your future (savings/investing), your health, and your peace of mind.
Money is a tool. Use it to build a life that feels good on the inside—not just looks good on the outside.

Final Thoughts

You don’t have to overhaul your life overnight. Start small. Choose better—not perfect. Whether it’s the partner you open up to, the food you put on your plate, or the way you spend $20—you’re shaping your future every day.

Better choices aren’t always easy—but they’re always worth it.

How Weight Loss May Help You Feel Sexier and More Confident

Recently on Huffington Post a discussion arose in regards to whether or not fat is sexy. Does Western culture put weight first before real sex appeal? A study by Duke University shows that women with weight issues tend to stray from sex because of their lack of self confidence and the bad feelings that they harbor for their bodies. This lack of sex-confidence has created a phenomena within the female Western culture, a reflection of their innermost workings and lack of feelings in regards to themselves.

The answers to these common occurrences in American women's lives comes from some unthought of places, including early childhood sexual abuse, a strong libido that has been suppressed in a marriage creating feelings of guilt and dysfunction, self-hate and body loathing, and even lack of desire for ones partner.

These deep seeded feelings have been known to bring up a series of hidden emotions that never become resolved, instead women tend to stuff their feelings with a safe alternative 'food'. This creates a vicious cycle of abuse on all levels. She eats to stuff her feelings deep down inside to avoid her truth and whomever the feelings are aimed at, in return the weight accumulates, the feelings grow and the relationship slowly dies.

5 steps explaining how weight loss may help you feel sexier and more confident:

1. Boosts Self-Esteem
Losing weight often leads to feeling better about your body image. As you see progress, your confidence naturally increases, which can positively impact how you see yourself sexually.

2. Increases Energy Levels
Weight loss is usually accompanied by improved fitness and stamina, which can lead to more energy and enthusiasm—both in daily life and the bedroom.

3. Improves Mood and Mental Health
Exercise and healthier habits release endorphins, reduce stress, and help combat anxiety or depression, all of which play a big role in feeling sexy and confident.

4. Enhances Body Awareness
As you engage in healthier habits, you become more in tune with your body—learning what makes you feel good, both physically and emotionally.

5. Encourages Positive Feedback
Friends, partners, or even your own reflection may offer encouragement or compliments, reinforcing your self-worth and enhancing your sexual self-image.

Where's the answer?

Many of these issues are ones that need assistance in getting through, i.e. therapist, counselor, someone trustworthy that will not violate the trust bestowed. Generally therapists and counselors are the best for this, as they are schooled in the manners in helping another work through these sensitive subjects and they are professionally trustworthy, therefore you do not have to worry about your sister telling your husband your true feelings etc. The professionals are separate from your lives and are able to provide invaluable answers to your lives worst woes. So if this is you:

"Obesity is associated with lack of enjoyment of sexual activity, lack of sexual desire, difficulties with sexual performance, and avoidance of sexual encounters. Sexual quality of life is most impaired for women."

If this is you, then I hope that you are able to find your truth and become empowered as a woman without the hang-ups of yesterday. Because life is short, do it today!
