I found this next retreat while at the dentist's office reading Cosmopolitan Magazine. The article itself must have been 4 inches x 4 inches, with a cute little picture of a shack with a green and tropical Florida background. Seriously, the name alone sounds peaceful and encouraging: the Hippocrates Health Institute. Do visions of Hippocrates and health just fill your mind?
Hippocrates is a nonprofit health institute that is based in West Palm Beach, Florida. Originally founded in Boston, Massachusetts by Ann Wigmore soon after she discovered the healing properties of using Wheatgrass therapies for colon cancer. Their philosophy is that, "a vegan, living, enzyme-rich diet – complemented by exercise, positive thinking and non-invasive therapies – is integral to optimum health.”
Hippocrates stated nearly 2,500 years ago: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” Let me just say this, this is the only fitness retreat with a hair salon, their own wheat grass warehouse and laser hair removal therapy.

To finish it up, they offer a variety of programs, with stay times between 1 to 9 weeks and a few different options for accommodations. Here is a link to their Financing and scholarship options page.
Added bonus, the link to their recipes page! I will be trying the dressing out very soon.

The Hippocrates Life Transformation Program is the 3-Week Signature Hippocrates Health Institute Program. We recommend 3 weeks to people wanting to come to Hippocrates, as this is enough time for habit change, to ‘solidify real change’ and influence health, and to fully benefit from embracing The Hippocrates Lifestyle.
Health Educator Program
The Hippocrates Health Educator Program (HED) provides an extensive learning experience about the practice and teachings of the living foods lifestyle, inspired by Hippocrates’ wisdom, “Let Food Be Thy Medicine and Medicine Be Thy Food.” The nine-week program not only provides students with a concise introduction to the health benefits of a raw, plant-based diet, but involves complementary therapies and related disciplines that are essential to a healthy and well-rounded approach to life, as well as a career path to help others take responsibility for their lives. "More than a half century ago, visionary and humanitarian Ann Wigmore developed a simple concept first voiced by Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, nearly 2,500 years ago: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” Together with the brilliant Viktoras Kulvinskas, Ms. Wigmore nurtured this seed, creating a comprehensive institute that encourages people to draw from their vast inner resources to transform the quality of their health and lives. The commitment to this inspired truth is embodied in Hippocrates Health Institute, a non-profit organization jointly directed by the caring hands of Brian and Anna Maria Clement since 1980."
