Boot Camp: Day 3 - Top 10 Weight Loss Camps: Biggest Loser Resort

The Biggest Loser Resort has many locations around the US, including Malibu, CA; Ivins, UT; Chicago, IL (open May 2013) and Niagara, NY. Choosing a fitness retreat (or extended stay boot camp) that offers multiple locations may make your decision easier.  Distance and weather can make your experience a good or not so good one. For instance I would not travel anywhere that may have snow, my preferable experience would be warm and tropical without too much travel expense required.

McMurry University in Texas: Weight Loss Volunteers Needed

McMurry University in Texas is currently seeking weight loss volunteers for their kinesiology department's  90-day weight loss study. Interviews for the weight loss study will begin Friday, February 8 From 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., and 5 - 6 p.m. in the human performance laboratory (pe #214) at Hunt Physical Education Center and will continue each Friday until all openings are filled.

The purpose of McMurry University's study will be to determine if  exercise, diet or portion control alone creates the most effective changes in weight and size. Standards for exercise within the weight loss study will include low intensity and cardiovascular training, nutritional selections, and portion-size.

What a great idea, weight loss camp! A place where you can avoid the worldly issues and focus on just you. No temptations, all the support that you need and health, simply and serenly surrounding you.

Change can be hard to come by in today's world, your daily focus may become dulled when working your rat race job or dealing with cranky people on your commute or even at work and home. So what happens? You turn to...food.

Super Bowl Halftime Show with Beyonce - But what about her 60lb weight loss?

With all the rumors that circulated regarding Beyonce's expected performance at the Super Bowl, we believe she pulled it off. Drawing from many of her most popular songs Beyonce brought to the floor a sense of energy and vigor, complete with lights and excellent choreography that Beyonce is known for.

In case you missed it here (see below)is a video caption of the Halftime Super Bowl show featuring Beyonce's and Destiny's Childs Halftime performance.

One of the questions that have been on everyone's minds was answered at last night's Super Bowl performance: Will Destiny's Child reunite at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show? But what about her 60lb weight loss just a few months ago? How did she do it?

In an interview with US Magazine she shares all:

Beyonce ( 5-foot-7 singer, 30): "Y'all have no idea how hard I worked. I had to lose 60 pounds! They had me on that treadmill -- I ate lettuce!"

Super Bowl Geico Commercial - Weight Loss Between a Guy & Teen Girls

If you have overheard the TV or even listened to commercials on the radio in the last decade you are probably familiar with Geico's rhetorical comments regarding everything related to life's bizarre circumstances. And yesterday's Super Bowl Geico Commercial was no different.


In the commercial, a mid-life man goes on a quest to lose a few pounds. He hires three teenage girls to follow him around and when he's about to take a bite out of strawberry covered waffles, cheeseburgers, and more, the teenage girls appear with "Eeewh so gross." Pretty funny really.

Maybe this will start a new teenage profession, motivational coaching via eewhs and OMGs! But I have heard about people that you can hire to follow you around and slap your hand when you pick up food that you should not be eating, maybe this is just another version or maybe it is discipline by fat shaming!
